In January of 2001, Janice Hernandez established Upper Room Real Estate. She purposed to build an exceptional real estate company known for its integrity, service, and generosity. Janice uses company profits to help fund non-profit aid organizations around the world.
Our name comes from an account in the Bible where Jesus’ disciples waited for wisdom and empowerment from the Holy Spirit. For Janice, prayer and empowerment are keys to real estate success.

Tips on Choosing a Real Estate Professional
When determining your real estate goals and dreams, you are planning some of your most significant investments. A real estate professional will save you time and money and will help you avoid some serious pitfalls.
We recommend that you choose your real estate professional carefully. Make an appointment with several Realtors and interview them, just as you would a potential employee for your family business. Find out if he or she is licensed. Is the agent a member of the Salt Lake Board of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors? Ask for references and a copy of his or her resume.
Does the agent fly solo or does he or she work with a team? How many transactions has your agent closed? If you’re selling your home, ask the potential realtor about the marketing plan for your home. Find out what makes your agent special.
You will most likely have a lot of contact with your agent. See if you can establish a good rapport before you start. The process of buying and selling real estate is like a journey, be sure you are traveling with the right person!
